Where: National Guard Training Center, Sea Girt, NJ The N.J. State Police and N.J. National Guard Camporee occurs every 3 years and is one of the premiere scouting events in the USA, attended by nearly 10,000 scouts and volunteers. The partnership between the BSA and N.J. State Police and National Guard is grounded in the values of the Scout Oath of “Duty to Country” and service to others. This year's theme is Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as Cybersecurity. Activities include demonstrations by the State Police (e.g. rappelling from helicopters, K9 units); physical challenges such as a rock climbing wall; earning requirements toward merit badges; exploring dozens of displays by the State Police, National Guard and each N.J. BSA Council (e.g. bomb robot, police boats, army helicopter).
